Bernkastel
Bernkastel is a part of the city Bernkastel-Kues along the Mosel River in Rheinland-Pfalz. These photos were taken in August 2006:
Bernkastel lies on the right side of the Mosel River, while Kues lies on the left side. The two towns joined to form a single city in 1905. Andel and Wehlen also joined the city in 1970.
The city is between Trier and Cochem.
The Spitzhäusen (the pointed house) was built in 1416. The bottom floor is only about 2 meters (6 1/2 feet) wide.
A car is needed to reach Bernkastel-Kues. There is no train station available.
